When Hurricane Stan struck Guatemala and the Central American region in October 2005, it brought severe flooding and landslides to the area. Those affected by the disaster were in urgent need of food, water, and shelter. We responded immediately with a large donation of canned goods to the shelters in both Guatemala and El Salvador. In response, the Guatemalan government recognized our company for its generous donation and help for those in need.
Beginning in 2005, we joined with Hiper Paiz supermarkets and non-profit organization Potter's House (Casa Alfarero) to raise money for the purchase of materials to protect the houses of over ten thousand (10,000) Guatemalans living in the unstable landfill of Guatemala City.
We have continued our involvement with Potter's House, and recently, became the proud sponsor of a first grade classroom. Our sponsorship includes the donation of school uniforms, school materials and nutritious meals throughout the school year.

Beginning in 2006, we became involved with Fotokids (Fundacion de ninos artistas Guatemala) in Guatemala. Fotokids aims to teach kids in poorer areas of Guatemala skills in manual and digital photography, giving them the chance to develop themselves artistically.

Also in 2006, we partnered with the Guatemalan organization Manos de Amor to raise money for the construction of medical stations, medical supplies and community health programs in areas of Guatemala with restricted access to medical attention. Specifically, we donated a container with medical equipment as well as a medical team to the hospital in Santiago Atitlan.
