The Otis McAllister family came together to support our North Bay neighbors.

In Santa Rosa, the devastating wildfires left many neighborhoods in ruin, and the disaster continues to affect the city’s residents. While the wildfires subsided weeks ago, the need for community support is still urgent. Gene Russell, Otis McAllister’s Vice President of Retail Sales, previously worked for the LA Tortilla Factory, a company based in Santa Rosa. He learned that five families in the La Tortilla organization lost their home and belongings due to fire or smoke damage, and reached out to Otis employees. To help support his former colleagues at La Tortilla, Gene, along with the Otis organization, gathered clothing, towels, bedding, and more, to donate. Otis was able to fill up a whole car of donations, and Gene delivered them to his friends and fellow colleagues.
Gene shared both his appreciation for the donations, as well as his experience of visiting Santa Rosa this past week, “Personally I wanted to thank each of you for all that you have done and know that every single donation will be cherished. The faces of many of my friends there was amazing when they saw the SUV completely packed with items that are sorely needed. There is so much to rebuild and many more rough days ahead as they seek to find permanent homes, but having folks such as the Otis McAllister team provide support is priceless. I speak for the over 300 employees there when I say that you have made new friends and the generosity will never be forgotten.”
Driving through Santa Rosa, the devastating effects from the wildfires are still visible. Otis McAllister continues to keep the La Tortilla Company, and all those affected by the North Bay fires, in our thoughts as they work to restore and rebuild their city.
